Management Changes at Basler AG
Basler AG, a leader in computer vision technology, has announced a shift in its management board. As of January 1, 2026, Hardy Mehl, a long-time member of the board, will take over as CEO. This follows the decision of current CEO, Dr. Dietmar Ley, to step down after 25 years. Dr. Ley will continue to support the company in an advisory role and join the supervisory board at the request of the major shareholder.
In addition to the CEO change, Dr. Kai Jens Ströder will join as Chief Technical Officer. He will oversee product generation and innovation. Ines Brückel remains as Chief Financial Officer. The supervisory board believes the company is well-positioned for future growth, especially after navigating challenging times.
Basler AG is headquartered in Ahrensburg, Germany, with a workforce of about 850 people globally.
