BASF Begins Global Registration for Replexor™ Active Herbicide

BASF Agricultural Solutions has initiated the global registration of Replexor™ Active, a novel PPO herbicide, with submissions in Brazil and Australia. The United States and Argentina are set to follow in 2027. Replexor Active promises enhanced weed management, supporting programs over 50 million hectares globally. The company anticipates market introduction by 2030, pending approvals.

Replexor Active addresses the rising issue of herbicide-resistant weeds affecting crops like soybean and corn. This innovation extends BASF's existing PPO portfolio, known for targeting broadleaf weeds and grasses. It adds a crucial option for managing resistant grasses, enhancing existing resistance management strategies.

This herbicide not only controls weeds effectively but also supports no-till farming practices, reducing soil erosion. With its low usage rate, it offers ease of application and lessens the quantity of active ingredients needed per hectare.
