Basecamp Research Unveils Trillion Gene Atlas for AI-Driven Therapeutics
Basecamp Research has launched the Trillion Gene Atlas, a pioneering initiative aimed at expanding genetic diversity recognition by 100 times. This project involves collecting genomic data from over 100 million species globally. In collaboration with partners like Anthropic, Ultima Genomics, and PacBio, and using NVIDIA's AI infrastructure, Basecamp intends to significantly reduce the timeline for compiling biological data.
The Trillion Gene Atlas seeks to enhance AI models for medicine design by offering much-needed extensive training data. The EDEN foundation models, utilized by Basecamp, have already unveiled new AI scaling laws, indicating that broader biological datasets significantly enhance AI capabilities in therapeutic design.
This initiative aligns with Basecamp's goal of advancing genomic data collection, supported by a network of biodiversity partners and cutting-edge sequencing technologies. The Atlas aims to speed up the process of drug design and introduce innovative therapeutic solutions efficiently.
