Barton Gold's Challenger Resource Sees Remarkable Doubling
Barton Gold Holdings Limited has announced a significant update to its Mineral Resource Estimates (MREs) for the Challenger Gold Project in South Australia. The revised estimate for the Challenger underground resources reveals a substantial increase, more than doubling to 230,000 ounces at a grade of 3.65 grams per tonne of gold. This development follows extensive remodelling and third-party evaluations, highlighting potential for further growth through near-mine drilling.
The new estimates integrate 9,387 meters of additional drilling data, enhancing the precision of the existing JORC (2012) MRE. The updated resource totals 400,000 ounces of gold when combined with the Tarcoola project, providing a robust foundation for Barton's operations. Barton's Central Gawler Mill, fully permitted, offers logistical advantages, promising a more economical path to production.
In addition to resource updates, the Challenger 3 Deposit has been identified along with potential exploration extensions for further development. This positions Barton Gold strategically for future mining operations, leveraging both infrastructure and mineral resources in South Australia.
