Barton Gold Commences Pre-Feasibility Study for Tunkillia Project
Barton Gold Holdings Limited has initiated a Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) for the Tunkillia Gold Project in South Australia. This effort is being led by GR Engineering Services, aiming to complete the PFS in Q1 2027. Expanded drilling is underway to enhance resource estimation and optimize open pit designs.
The study builds on the 2025 Optimised Scoping Study, projecting substantial annual output of approximately 120,000 ounces of gold and 260,000 ounces of silver. The Tunkillia venture is designed to yield in excess of $1.75 billion in operational profit within the first 27 months, covering development costs multiple times over.
Drilling and analyses focus on improving resource classification and identifying higher-grade zones. A comprehensive work program will support the PFS and subsequent mining lease applications. The PFS completion is expected to set the stage for project financing and development approvals.
