Banyan Gold Initiates Exploration Drilling at Nitra Project
Banyan Gold Corp. has launched its 2026 diamond drilling program at the Nitra Project in Yukon's Tombstone Gold Belt. This effort aims to broaden Banyan's exploration portfolio and detect potential satellite deposits in untested greenfields zones near the AurMac deposit.
The company is using two diamond drills to explore targets identified through geophysical surveys and surface studies. With over 7,500 meters allocated for regional targets, Banyan plans to enhance its exploration efforts upon discovering promising results.
Vice President of Exploration, Duncan Mackay, remarked on the significant opportunities to identify targets with signatures of Reduced Intrusion-Related Gold Systems (RIRGs). Additionally, President and CEO Tara Christie emphasized the strategic potential of Nitra with a vast land area remaining unexplored.
