Aztec Minerals Expands Tombstone Gold-Silver Zone with Step-Out Drilling
Aztec Minerals Corp. has announced promising results from its ongoing 2025-2026 drilling campaign at the Tombstone Property in Arizona. The recent step-out drilling has expanded the Contention zone of oxide gold-silver mineralization to the west and at depth. Key findings include multiple mineralized zones identified in drill holes TR26-15 to TR26-19, emphasizing the continuity and expansion potential of the area.
The drilling program has completed 70 reverse circulation (RC) holes and highlights include Hole TR26-19, which intersected notable mineralization averaging 2.31 gpt Au and 43.23 gpt Ag over 27.4 meters. The company reports its drilling campaign continues to outline a larger gold-silver system than previously understood, with several holes ending in mineralization, suggesting further exploration potential.
Currently, the core drilling is focused on deeper targets while additional results from pending drill holes are expected soon. Aztec Minerals' exploration strategy continues, aiming to expand known mineralization both laterally and at greater depths.
