Aztec Minerals Expands Gold-Silver Mineralization at Tombstone Project
Aztec Minerals Corp. announced significant drilling results at its Tombstone Property in Arizona, enhancing its exploration efforts. The company's first step-out drilling into the North Extension Zone revealed an 88.4-meter intersection averaging 1.42 g/t Au and 14.58 g/t Ag, expanding the Contention Zone's oxide mineralization northward and at depth. This discovery underlines the potential of shallow, continuous bulk tonnage material amenable to heap leaching.
Drill hole TR26-38 in the Contention Zone showed a 97.5-meter intersection averaging 1.06 g/t Au and 16.08 g/t Ag. Both TR26-39 and TR26-38 featured high-grade cores, demonstrating continuity near-surface. With ninety reverse circulation holes completed thus far, pending assay results from additional step-out holes suggest further growth potential for the Tombstone Project, integral to Aztec's maiden mineral resource estimate.
