Axo Copper Initiates Phase II Drilling at La Huerta Project

Axo Copper Corp. has launched a 15,000-metre Phase II drilling program at the La Huerta Copper Project in Jalisco, Mexico. This follows the success of the initial drilling phase, which included promising copper grades. The company has one drill rig on site, focusing on the Las Marias Zone along the La Huerta Trend. The first drill holes are aimed at shallow depths with plans to extend the testing to deeper areas.

The Phase I program had notable results, such as intercepts of up to 7.37% copper over 7.6 metres. Earlier efforts by another concession holder in 2020 achieved similar high-grade outcomes. These findings validate the potential for copper mineralization in this region, which remains largely unexplored.

The La Huerta project covers 11,331 hectares and was previously used for artisanal mining. The new drilling phase seeks to assess the depth potential, with results expected in July.
