The Swiss automotive sector is advocating for a realistic economic policy

At their extraordinary general meeting in Schinznach-Bad, members of auto-suisse, a key player in the Swiss import sector, welcomed new members and appointed Sylvia Neubauer, Managing Director of BMW (Switzerland) Ltd., to the board of directors. Faced with current economic challenges and high fuel prices, the association is calling for a suspension of VAT on gasoline and diesel and for adjustments to environmental policy to better support the economy.

auto-suisse criticizes the "Transports '45" project and advocates for a transport infrastructure policy that meets road transport needs. In a challenging economic climate, it emphasizes the importance of CO₂ legislation that is adaptable to market realities and calls for a reduction of the 13 billion franc tax burden on the sector.
