Auto-suisse's concerns about the Transports '45 Project

The Federal Council recently launched a consultation on the "Transport '45" project, highlighting priorities that have drawn criticism. Auto-suisse points out that the economic importance of road infrastructure is underestimated, given that the majority of people and goods travel by road.

Despite the urgent need to develop this infrastructure to avoid costly traffic jams, the project allocates significantly less investment to the road network compared to rail, with no guarantee of funding for the latter. Auto-suisse therefore calls for a rebalancing in favor of national highways to meet the actual mobility needs in Switzerland.
