Austrian Post Reports Q1 2025 Performance
Austrian Post reported a 0.7% revenue increase in Q1 2025, reaching EUR 763.6m. This growth follows prior years' positive effects, despite a challenging economy and fewer working days. The Parcel & Logistics Division, contributing 54.6% of group revenue, grew 3.8% thanks to gains in Austria and Türkiye. Conversely, the Mail Division saw a 5.1% drop, impacted by digital communication trends.
In terms of earnings, EBITDA fell by 1.8% to EUR 101.6m, and EBIT decreased by 7.6% compared to Q1 2024. Despite these, EBIT was 2.9% above Q1 2023, underlining some resilience. Earnings per share also dipped by 4.5% to EUR 0.56.
Looking forward, Austrian Post anticipates modest revenue growth in 2025, with challenges persisting in the mail sector while parcels benefit from e-commerce dynamics. Investments between EUR 150m and EUR 160m are projected for growth, maintenance, and logistics decarbonization.
