Atlas Salt Receives Approval for Early Works at Great Atlantic Salt Project

Atlas Salt Inc. announced that the Newfoundland and Labrador government has approved the Early Works Development Plan for the Great Atlantic Salt Project. This green light transitions the project to shovel-ready status, allowing for site preparation and surface infrastructure activities.

The approval covers site preparation, road construction, and environmental measures, among other foundational work. The initiative is expected to employ approximately 150 full-time-equivalent workers, prioritizing local hires.

Future steps involve completing an Updated Feasibility Study and securing project financing to advance to the construction phase. Atlas Salt aims to minimize risks while stimulating economic benefits for the region.
