Arverne: a crucial step forward for the Lithium project in Europe

Arverne Group announced that the European Commission has designated their project, Lithium de France, as a strategic project under the Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA). This project is now considered essential for Europe's industrial and energy independence.

The CRMA sets ambitious targets for 2030, including the extraction of 10% of critical raw materials on European soil and their processing at 40% in Europe. Arverne aligns with these objectives, contributing to a European battery value chain.

The European designation reinforces the project's status as a "Major Strategic Project," supporting the energy transition and the supply of critical metals. Arverne aims for an annual production of 27,000 tonnes of lithium, with 2 TWh of renewable heat.
