Aperam Reports Strong Q2 2026 Results Amid Challenges
Aperam S.A. announced its second quarter 2026 financial results, marking the company's strongest performance in four years. Despite facing industry headwinds, Aperam achieved an EBITDA of EUR 159 million, up from EUR 90 million in the first quarter. Adjusted EBITDA also saw a significant rise to EUR 130 million, primarily driven by robust contributions from its Stainless & Electrical Steel and Recycling & Renewables segments.
Sales increased by 7.2% to EUR 1,689 million, although shipments experienced a slight decline to 606 thousand tonnes. The company's net income soared to EUR 116 million, a sharp increase from EUR 3 million in the previous quarter, while basic earnings per share improved to EUR 1.61.
Strategic initiatives like the Leadership Journey® Phase 6, with H1 gains totaling EUR 38 million, continue to fortify Aperam’s competitive positioning. Looking ahead, the company anticipates a reduction in adjusted EBITDA for Q3 2026 due to seasonal trends, yet expects continued debt reduction by year-end.
