Aperam Q1 2026 Results: Diversification Drives Strong Performance
Aperam S.A. reported a robust start to 2026 with strong results for Q1. The company marked a recovery in several areas despite challenging global conditions. Health and safety improvements were notable, with a reduction in LTI frequency from 2.0x in Q4 2025 to 1.4x.
Shipments rose by 11% to 617 thousand tonnes, resulting in sales of EUR 1,575 million, a 16% increase compared to Q4 2025. Adjusted EBITDA climbed to EUR 90 million from EUR 67 million, benefitting from higher shipments and cost management, though net income declined to EUR 3 million from EUR 29 million.
Despite higher debt at EUR 1,057 million, the company anticipates stronger EBITDA in Q2. Strategic initiatives under the Leadership Journey® Phase 6 are progressing, targeting EUR 150 million in gains by 2028, with EUR 18 million achieved in Q1. Aperam remains optimistic about leveraging its diversified model amidst geopolitical challenges.
