Amprion GmbH Issues €2.6 Billion Green Bonds

Amprion GmbH, a German transmission system operator, has issued green bonds worth €2.6 billion, marking a significant step in its 2026 financing strategy. This initiative aims to support its project portfolio and advance energy transition efforts within Germany.

The issuance comprises three tranches listed on the Euro MTF market of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. The tranches include a €700 million bond with a 5-year maturity and a 3.162% interest rate, a €1 billion bond maturing in 12 years at a 4.072% rate, and a €900 million bond with a 20-year maturity at a 4.580% rate.

Backed by substantial investor interest, these bonds form part of Amprion’s €25 billion debt issuance program. Rated “Baa1” by Moody's and “A-” by Fitch, the proceeds will fund grid expansions crucial for a climate-neutral energy system.
