Amprion GmbH Appoints Katrin Hilmer as Chief Operating Officer

Amprion GmbH's Supervisory Board has announced the appointment of Katrin Hilmer as the new Chief Operating Officer and Director of Labor Relations, effective 1 April 2026. This expansion of the management team comes as the company faces growing responsibilities in the energy sector transformation. Over the past five years, Amprion has seen a 13% average annual increase in employee numbers.

Katrin Hilmer transitions from her role as Managing Director at DB Energie GmbH to join Amprion's leadership, comprising CEO Dr. Christoph Müller, CTO Dr. Hendrik Neumann, and CFO Peter Rüth. Her appointment highlights Amprion’s commitment to inclusivity and leadership diversity.

With a background in human resources and extensive international experience, Hilmer expressed her enthusiasm in contributing to the energy transition at Amprion. The company, a key German transmission system operator, emphasizes the importance of robust infrastructure for a successful energy shift.
