AMPERA Launches New World Headquarters in Florida

AMPERA, a company specializing in advanced nuclear technology, has inaugurated its world headquarters in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The event, attended by over 150 leaders and officials, marked a significant milestone for the startup known for its clean energy solutions. AMPERA focuses on developing advanced nuclear reactors that are energy-dense and do not require refueling, utilizing thorium-based technology.

Founder and CEO Brian Matthews emphasized the importance of their innovative solutions in addressing the challenges posed by the demand for AI and limited power supply. The company aims to secure NRC licensing for its thorium-fueled reactors and has partnered with Scorpio Tankers.

The headquarters covers nearly 100,000 square feet, housing research and development, engineering, and additive manufacturing operations. Local leaders highlighted AMPERA's impact on the region, noting the creation of high-tech jobs and economic growth. The company plans to expand its workforce to 2,500 employees in five years.
