Chassieu-based Amoéba, a greentech company, announced the marketing authorization of its biofungicide AXPERA in France. This approval from ANSES allows AXPERA to enter the French market and lays the groundwork for authorizations across Europe. AXPERA targets diseases in crops such as grapes and vegetables, inhibiting fungal spore germination.

The fungicide is designated low-risk and can be used in both conventional and organic farming. It has favorable regulations, including minimal residue limits and a short safety interval, making it appealing to farmers. Amoéba plans to expand AXPERA's reach in Europe following this authorization, with current applications in several countries set for 2027 market access.

This 15-year authorization is seen as a pivotal step in Amoéba's strategy to enhance its market position in biocontrol solutions, working alongside partner Koppert.
