Amarc and Freeport Expand AuRORA Copper-Gold-Silver Deposit
Amarc Resources Ltd. has announced further expansion of the AuRORA Deposit within the JOY District drill program. Recent assay results reveal high-grade, near-surface copper-gold-silver mineralization, which continues to show potential for further expansion. Drilling in 2025 comprised 24 core holes, primarily as expansion step-out holes. Notably, the deposit extended +100 meters northward on Section 8200N and +200 meters eastward on Section 7900N. Highlights include intercepts of 201 meters at 1.40 g/t Au, 0.28% Cu, and 2.6 g/t Ag.
Amarc's President and CEO, Dr. Diane Nicolson, emphasized the deposit's significant expansion potential, comparing its geological characteristics to British Columbia’s renowned Golden Triangle. The ongoing drilling aims to fully explore the 630 km² JOY District. So far, 45 drill holes have been completed in 2024-2025, covering a total of 17,586 meters. Freeport-McMoRan Mineral Properties Canada Inc. is financing the exploration program.
