Amarc Resources and Boliden Advance Duke Copper-Gold Exploration

Amarc Resources Ltd. confirms Boliden's continued 60% participation in the Duke Copper-Gold District, British Columbia. This follows a $30 million investment by Boliden through 2025, giving them a majority stake in the joint venture that began on April 1, 2026. While Boliden has opted not to increase its stake further, the joint venture is planning a new exploration program for 2026 to probe several promising copper-gold targets across the district, with Amarc continuing as operator.

Located in the mineral-rich Babine Region, the 732 km² Duke District holds significant potential for new porphyry copper-gold discoveries. The district benefits from existing mining and forestry infrastructure, easing exploration efforts. In 2025, Amarc's exploratory activities, including geophysical surveys and drilling, expanded the Duke Deposit's known porphyry system, confirming its extensive potential.

The Duke JV aims to establish the district as a key player in British Columbia's mining landscape. Their focus is currently on identified targets where regional structures may act as pathways for copper and gold mineralization. This strategic exploration continues to screen promising areas, supporting Amarc's vision of long-life, high-value copper-gold operations.
