Amarc Initiates $10 Million Drill Program at DUKE Copper-Gold District
Amarc Resources Ltd. has started a $10 million drilling program in the DUKE Copper-Gold district in British Columbia, in collaboration with Boliden. The 2025 program aims to explore multiple copper-gold deposits in the 732 km² area. Amarc, as the project operator, emphasizes the potential of systematic exploration to uncover new mineralizations in a historically rich region.
Amarc plans to test several targets, including previously identified JO, C4, and Svea, alongside nine untapped ones. These efforts build on the 2024 scout drilling results, where notable copper-gold mineralizations were documented. These new findings could contribute significantly to both the local and broader provincial economies, as exploration for copper—a critical mineral—advances.
Amarc's operations in the DUKE District benefit from nearby infrastructure, aiding access and logistical support. With ongoing drills, they continue to reveal the district's potential for large-scale copper-gold deposits.
