AMAG Austria Metall AG Reports Strong Q1 2025 Earnings
AMAG Austria Metall AG announced significant earnings growth for Q1 2025, driven by increased volumes in the Rolling Division and higher aluminium prices. The group's revenues rose by 20% to EUR 401.4 million compared to Q1 2024. EBITDA improved by 9% to EUR 46.1 million, while net income after taxes increased by 22% to EUR 16.2 million.
The Metal Division's EBITDA of EUR 20.6 million was supported by stable production and rising US Midwest premiums, despite the challenge of US import tariffs. Conversely, the Casting Division faced pressure due to the weak European automotive market, with EBITDA falling to EUR 0.9 million. The Rolling Division showed resilience with robust sales in industrial and packaging products, achieving an EBITDA of EUR 24.4 million.
Looking ahead, AMAG anticipates adjusting to economic uncertainties with an expected full-year EBITDA between EUR 110 million and EUR 140 million, despite global trade challenges.
