Alstom has secured a contract to supply 26 more Coradia Max trains to Landesanstalt Schienenfahrzeuge Baden-Württemberg (SFBW) in Germany. This order, valued at around 500 million euros, includes maintenance up to 2055. This follows an initial contract from May 2022 for 130 trains with an option for 100 more.

The new trains will boost capacity and sustainability in Baden-Württemberg's regional transport. With a top speed of 200 km/h, these trains promise faster and more comfortable journeys. Features include free Wi-Fi, smartphone charging, and barrier-free access. The trains will join DB Regio Baden-Württemberg and Arverio starting December 2026.

This expansion aligns with the state's investment in advanced rail transport, enhancing passenger comfort while improving regional services after the opening of railway hub Stuttgart 21.
