Alstom, the world leader in sustainable mobility, has signed a contract to supply 26 additional Coradia Max trains to the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The contract, worth approximately €500 million, includes train maintenance until the end of 2055. Delivery of the trains is scheduled for 2028.

Baden-Württemberg Transport Minister Winfried Hermann stressed the importance of this investment, which will improve the capacity and quality of regional transport, especially after the Stuttgart 21 project is commissioned. The trains will reach speeds of 200 km/h and offer many comfortable amenities for passengers.

The service will begin operating in 2026, with trains available to local railway companies. These environmentally friendly and accessible trains will strengthen Baden-Württemberg's position as a pioneer in sustainable mobility. Alstom, with its extensive experience in rail services, will ensure reliable long-term operation.
