Alstom has started the fiscal year 2025/26 with strong commercial momentum. Orders in the first quarter reached €4.1 billion, a significant increase from last year's €3.6 billion. The company's sales rose to €4.5 billion, marking a 2.8% growth. Despite a 2.7% currency headwind and a 1.5% impact from the sale of its North American signaling business, organic sales growth stood at 7.2%.

Europe remained crucial for Alstom, accounting for 85% of total orders. Notable contracts included a €1.7 billion order from SNCF for trainsets in France and a €600 million share in a Bulgarian train deal. Sales across product lines, notably in Germany, the US, and Italy, showed resilience, with systems sales growing impressively due to projects in Brazil and the Philippines.

Alstom's outlook for the fiscal year remains steady, with expectations of organic sales growth between 3% and 5% and a free cash flow range of €200 to €400 million. Key project completions included deployments in France, the UK, Sweden, India, and the US.
