Alps Blockchain Rebrands as Alps to Reflect Broader Mission
Alps Blockchain has announced its rebranding to Alps, aligning its identity with its expanded role in digital infrastructure. Originally a Bitcoin mining pioneer, Alps now positions itself as a vertically integrated developer and manager of advanced data centers. These facilities are designed to transform energy into digital computation, supporting both Bitcoin mining and future AI computing initiatives.
CEO Francesco Buffa highlights the company's evolution from a blockchain-focused entity to an infrastructure firm. CFO Francesca Failoni notes that the consistent cash flow from Bitcoin underscores their strategic growth plans, enabling integration with AI computing. Since its establishment in 2018, Alps has developed energy-efficient data centers across several countries, aiming to achieve 15 EH/s of computing power soon.
With over 250 MW of operable capacity and leading energy efficiency, the company's rebranding marks its commitment to scalable and sustainable development in the intersection of energy and digital infrastructure. Alps retains its current legal and shareholder structure for ongoing projects.
