Algene Achieves GMP Certification for Cosmetics and Food Industries

DN Group AG has announced that its subsidiary, Algene Holding SE, has successfully obtained GMP certification. This certification, awarded by Quantum Quality GmbH, confirms that Algene's processes and facilities comply with rigorous DIN standards, meeting the high-quality and hygiene demands of the cosmetics and food sectors. The company has also demonstrated its ability to produce microalgae on an industrial scale.

Recently, Algene harvested 4,500 liters of high-purity microalgae, marking a significant production milestone. The company is now engaged in advanced negotiations with leading customers in the cosmetics industry. According to Ole Nixdorff, CEO of DN Group, the GMP certification is a critical step toward industrial production and marketing, enabling Algene to supply to major players in these markets.
