Alaska Energy Metals Reports Significant Metal Extraction Results

Alaska Energy Metals Corporation (AEMC) announced substantial metal extraction rates from hydrometallurgical testing at the Nikolai Nickel Project in Alaska. The testing, conducted by Simulus Laboratories, revealed high extraction percentages: 97.2% nickel, 99.3% copper, 98.9% cobalt, and 99.5% platinum. These findings indicate a promising future for in-house refining, potentially enhancing economic prospects by eliminating the need for external smelters.

The CEO, Gregory Beischer, highlighted the advantages of on-site refining. This shift could increase metal payability, especially for copper, thereby improving project economics. Further testing on lower-grade samples is planned to maximize nickel recovery, potentially offering more benefits to the project.
