Alaska Energy Metals Joins Forces with Lucid in MINAC Initiative
Alaska Energy Metals Corporation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Lucid Group and other companies to form the collaborative group, Minerals for National Automotive Competitiveness (MINAC). This initiative aims to harness U.S. mineral resources to boost employment, economic prosperity, and reduce dependency on foreign automotive supply chains.
MINAC's creation follows President Trump's Executive Order for increasing American mineral production. Apart from Alaska Energy Metals and Lucid, participants include Graphite One, Electric Metals, and RecycLiCo. The group aspires to develop robust domestic automotive supply chains that align with national security and environmental standards.
The partnership was highlighted at a launch event attended by key U.S. political figures. Alaska Energy Metals President Gregory Beischer emphasized the importance of locally sourced minerals for regulatory oversight and environmental protection, aiming to strengthen both economic and defense sectors.
