Alaska Energy Metals' 2024 Exploration Program Unveils Nickel-Copper Targets
Alaska Energy Metals Corporation (AEMC) unveiled promising findings from their 2024 exploration program at the Angliers-Belleterre project in Quebec, Canada. The initiative targeted potential metallic copper and nickel deposits. Results highlight multiple prospective sites, including Volcanic Hosted Massive Sulfide (VMS) prospects near Angliers and mafic copper-nickel prospects north of Laverlochère.
Among the focal areas, the Rapids Prospect revealed copper-rich zones correlating with VTEM anomalies, hinting at an underexplored VMS system. Historic shallow drilling had limited success, prompting plans for further modeling and deep drilling. Similarly, the McBride Prospect showed historic and recent promise with copper and nickel anomalies aligned with east-trending VTEM zones.
The Vaseux Prospect emerged with significant copper and silver anomalies. Lacking prior drilling, this site suggests untapped potential. AEMC plans substantial core drilling efforts to further explore the mineralization at these sites. This exploration endeavor was funded entirely from AEMC's current flow-through account, emphasizing its commitment to uncovering strategic metal resources.
