AKWEL's First Quarter 2026 Revenue Declines
Automotive equipment manufacturer AKWEL reported a significant decrease in revenue for the first quarter of 2026. Totaling €206.8 million, revenue fell by 19.1% compared to the same period in 2025. At constant scope and exchange rates, the decline was 16.2%, with currency fluctuations, particularly the US dollar, affecting results.
Revenue from EMEA experienced the sharpest drop at 22.5%, while America fell by 13.8%. Conversely, Asia saw a slight increase of 1.8%. The most affected divisions were Pollution Control and Fuel, experiencing reductions of 67.4% and 20.6% respectively.
Despite these challenges, AKWEL maintained a robust net cash position of €104.2 million, alongside €40.9 million in term deposits. The company expects a continued revenue decline throughout 2026, projecting decreases of 12% to 15% due to ongoing global economic uncertainties.
