Airbus Delivers Robust Nine-Month 2026 Financial Results
Airbus has announced its financial results for the first nine months of 2026, indicating solid performance despite challenging geopolitical and operational conditions. The company delivered 547 commercial aircraft, generating revenues of €50.6 billion, up 7% from the previous year. Adjusted EBIT rose to €4.5 billion, while reported EBIT was €4.6 billion. Earnings per share stood at €4.54.
Airbus reported a significant increase in aircraft orders, with gross commercial orders at 1,174 units, sharply up from the 610 aircraft ordered in the same period last year. The order backlog reached over 9,000 aircraft. Airbus Helicopters and Defence and Space divisions also experienced increased orders.
The company maintained its guidance for 2026, targeting the delivery of approximately 870 commercial aircraft and an adjusted EBIT of around €7.5 billion. However, the free cash flow remained negative at -€1.3 billion, mainly due to inventory build-up and delivery schedules.
