Airbus Announces Mixed Q1 2026 Results with Reduced Deliveries
Airbus SE reported its Q1 2026 financial results, revealing a decrease in revenues and earnings compared to Q1 2025. The company delivered 114 commercial aircraft, down from 136 in the same period last year, contributing to a 7% drop in revenues to €12.7 billion. The company's EBIT amounted to €0.2 billion, with earnings per share at €0.74.
The Defence and Space division showed strong performance despite a challenging environment. Gross orders for commercial aircraft rose to 408 units, with a net of 398 after cancellations. The order backlog reached 9,037 commercial aircraft, indicating steady demand.
Airbus continues addressing Pratt & Whitney engine shortages, affecting its A320 Family production. Despite challenges, the company maintains its 2026 delivery guidance of 870 commercial aircraft and aims for EBIT Adjusted of €7.5 billion.
