Air Liquide Completes Acquisition of DIG Airgas, Strengthening its Position in South Korea

Air Liquide has successfully completed the acquisition of DIG Airgas, a leading industrial gas company in South Korea. This marks a significant milestone for Air Liquide, as it solidifies its position in the region's industrial gas market. With this acquisition, Air Liquide will double its workforce in South Korea and aims to reach approximately 900 million euros in combined sales. This strategic move will significantly bolster Air Liquide's presence in a dynamic and innovative market.

The acquisition aligns with Air Liquide's long-term growth strategy and promises synergies, including an investment backlog of nearly 20 projects. These projects are expected to contribute more than 50 million euros in EBITDA by 2030. The acquisition also provides opportunities in sectors like semiconductors, clean energy, and biopharma, which are crucial for the nation's economy.

CEO François Jackow expressed gratitude towards the Korean authorities and emphasized the acquisition's role in expanding Air Liquide's capabilities and customer proximity in South Korea. This move is expected to be accretive to net profit within a year of integration.
