Air France-KLM to Settle €368m Cargo Fine in March 2026
Air France-KLM acknowledges the final ruling by the Court of Justice of the European Union. The court rejected the appeal against a previous judgment by the General Court, which supported the European Commission's 2017 decision. This verdict impacts 13 cargo operators, including Air France, KLM, and Martinair, for anti-competitive activities in the air cargo sector.
The practices identified are over two decades old and have seen lengthy legal battles. Air France-KLM reaffirms its dedication to adhering to competition laws, emphasizing prevention and compliance within its operations.
The company had previously set aside €366 million to cover the fines, which now total €368 million with interest. The sum will be paid in full by March 2026.
