Afonso Moreira transfers to Bayer Leverkusen
On June 18, 2026, Olympique Lyonnais announced the transfer of Afonso Moreira to Bayer Leverkusen. The deal could reach €33.6 million, including €4.1 million in bonuses, with a 10% sell-on clause. Afonso Moreira had joined OL in the summer of 2025 from Sporting Lisbon for €2 million. He distinguished himself as one of the revelations of the season. In 37 matches, he scored 8 goals and provided 11 assists.
