Affluent Medical: Presentation of Artus results at the UAA and ICS congresses

Affluent Medical recently announced the presentation of clinical results for its robotic urinary sphincter, Artus, at the international congresses of the Urological Association of Asia (UAA) and the International Continence Society (ICS). The presentation, led by Véronique Phe, demonstrated the device's efficacy and safety, with an 87% reduction in urinary leakage in implanted patients.

The fully implantable Artus sphincter has attracted considerable interest from the medical community, particularly given the lack of significant innovation in this field for several decades. The device could potentially offer a promising therapeutic solution for patients suffering from moderate to severe urinary incontinence.

Affluent Medical has received approval to proceed to the pivotal phase of the clinical trial evaluating Artus, with the opening of new centers in Europe. Urinary incontinence affects more than 400 million people worldwide and represents a major public health problem.
