ADS-TEC Energy Unveils Retail Charging Innovations at EuroShop 2026
At EuroShop 2026, ADS-TEC Energy revealed how retailers can effectively monetize charging infrastructure. The focus is on battery-supported ultra-fast charging, which significantly influences where electric vehicle (EV) drivers decide to shop. Traditional AC charging is insufficient for the average shopping duration of 20 to 30 minutes. In contrast, ADS-TEC Energy’s ChargePost offers ultra-fast charging without extensive grid expansion.
ChargePost features a compact 201 kWh battery and can deliver up to 300 kW or 150 kW charging for two vehicles simultaneously. This system enables fast charging even in locations with limited grid capacity. Retailers can capitalize on direct EV charging revenue, energy management, and Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) advertising through integrated displays.
These displays offer location-based, time-sensitive advertisements, maximizing exposure to EV drivers and other patrons. Managed via a robust DOOH network, ChargePost supports media strategies with factors like time and weather, enhancing retail media integration.
