Adidas Boosts Profit Forecast Amid Record Quarterly Results

Stock price chart of Adidas AG (EBR:ADS) showing fluctuations.

Adidas has announced an upward revision of its operating profit forecast for 2026. This follows record-breaking third-quarter results, showcasing a 9% rise in revenues to €7,252 million. Currency-neutral terms reflected a 7% growth. The gross margin saw a substantial improvement of 2.5 percentage points, reaching 54.3%. Operating profit also surged by 37% to €1,008 million, setting a new quarterly record.

Contributing significantly was the refund from US tariff claims, amounting to €200 million. This, combined with robust full-price sales, countered negative currency impacts. With these results, Adidas anticipates its currency-neutral revenue to grow by 9% to 10% for the year. Consequently, operating profit is expected to surpass the initial projection by €100 million, potentially reaching €2.6 billion in 2026.

Adidas plans to reinvest €100 million in the fourth quarter, focusing on initiatives to enhance future operating leverage. The revised full-year operating profit forecast is now €2.5 billion, up from €2.3 billion. Final third-quarter results will be shared on October 29, 2026.
