ABO Energy Secures Success in German Solar Tender
In a recent tender by the Federal Network Agency, ABO Energy GmbH & Co. KGaA successfully secured tariffs for three solar parks, totaling around 50 megawatts (MW). The Wiesbaden-based developer has consistently won across all three solar tender rounds of 2025, previously obtaining contracts for five solar farms with around 57 MW capacity.
The newly awarded projects are located in Schlangenbad (Hesse, 20 MWp), Ober-Olm (Rhineland-Palatinate, 18.9 MWp), and Schieder-Schwalenberg (North Rhine-Westphalia, 10.55 MWp). Construction will commence in autumn 2026, with battery storage systems added in the following year.
These projects are part of a broader portfolio totaling 100 MW of photovoltaic capacity and around 80 MW of battery storage. ABO Energy is seeking investors for this portfolio, as construction on several projects is underway. The tender was notably competitive, with a significant oversubscription.
