ABO Energy Marks Significant Milestones in German Wind Energy Sector

ABO Energy has made considerable strides in the German wind energy market, achieving several project milestones. These include securing tariff awards in a recent wind tender, obtaining necessary permits, and the sale of a project right.

In the February tariff tender for onshore wind energy, ABO Energy secured tariffs for projects totaling 16.4 megawatts in Schwerte and Öhringen. These projects, slated for grid connection by autumn 2027, are expansions of existing wind farms. Meanwhile, the company only participated modestly in the tender, securing promising prospects for future participation following a bondholder resolution allowing for better bid guarantees.

Additionally, ABO Energy obtained permits for projects in Olpe-Rehringhausen and Tholey, and approved next-generation turbine types for St. Gangloff. In a strategic move, ABO Energy sold rights for a project in Unterschneidheim after securing permits and tariffs, readying it for immediate implementation.
