ABB Achieves Record Order Intake in Q2 2025
ABB Ltd reported a record-high order intake of $9.785 billion for Q2 2025, marking a 16% increase year-on-year. Revenues rose by 8% to $8.9 billion, supported by three out of four business areas. Despite geopolitical uncertainties, CEO Morten Wierod expressed satisfaction with the overall strong performance across various regions and sectors.
The operational EBITA margin improved slightly to 19.2%, aided by robustness in Electrification and Process Automation. However, Robotics & Discrete Automation faced challenges due to a weaker Machine Automation division. Free cash flow saw a slight decline to $845 million, attributed to net working capital growth.
ABB was recognized as one of the top 15 most sustainable companies globally. Additionally, ABB expanded its product portfolio by launching new robot families and the SACE Emax 3 air circuit breaker.
