A1 Telekom Austria Group Reports Q1 2026 Results
A1 Telekom Austria Group posted a 3.9% increase in revenues for Q1 2026 compared to the same period last year. This growth was primarily driven by a 3.2% increase in service revenues, with international markets seeing a strong 11.5% rise that neutralized a decline in Austria.
The company reported a 4.6% increase in EBITDA, with Bulgaria, Croatia, and Belarus making significant contributions. The net result surged by 14.7%, supported by increased EBIT and an improved financial outcome. The company also noted a substantial 53.5% increase in free cash flow, attributed to reduced CAPEX and enhanced operational performance.
CAPEX fell to EUR 164 million from the previous year's EUR 222 million, due mainly to timing and reduced spectrum investments. The spectrum in Austria was extended at a cost of EUR 11 million. Telekom Austria reaffirmed its 2026 outlook, forecasting total revenue growth of 2-3% and CAPEX, excluding spectrum, of around EUR 750 million.
