Europe's 50 Best Bars Announces New Awards and Chairs
50 Best, the organization known for The World's 50 Best Bars, has unveiled the special award categories and Academy Chairs for the inaugural edition of Europe's 50 Best Bars. The event will announce Europe's top bars in 2026 alongside winners of the special awards during a live ceremony, with details forthcoming.
The ranking will be determined by votes from a panel of 300 experts in Europe's 50 Best Bars Academy. These include bartenders, bar owners, drinks media, and cocktail enthusiasts, all selected by 11 Academy Chairs representing different European regions. This independent panel focuses solely on European bar experiences.
The special awards include categories like Michter's Art of Hospitality for exceptional service, Altos Bartenders' Bartender for peer recognition, and the Icon Award for outstanding industry contributions. Other categories highlight new openings, sustainability, and the best cocktail menu, among others.
