26th Baloise Art Prize at Art Basel 2025

On June 17, 2025, in Basel, the Baloise Art Prize, worth CHF 30,000, was awarded to Joyce Joumaa and Rhea Dillon at Art Basel. The international jury recognized their innovative and relevant work within the Statements sector. Baloise is acquiring the works of both artists to donate to the MMK in Frankfurt and MUDAM in Luxembourg.

Lebanese artist Joyce Joumaa captivated with her installation "Periodic Sights," which illustrates Lebanon's energy crisis through repurposed fuse boxes. London-based Rhea Dillon explores colonial history with her piece "Leaning Figures," addressing Caribbean and British identities through wall sculptures.

The winners' work will be on display at the Baloise Studio during Art Basel 2025. This initiative underlines Baloise's commitment to culture and contemporary art.
